It is another busy day at the office. I am a Web Designer but I do much more. Graphic Designer is another title, as I work on Print Advertisements and Create Logos, Layouts and things like that. Newspapers, Magazines, Corporate Marketing things, Package Design too. It all falls under my pervue. It is overwhelming, so I specialize in the Web oriented stuff. The funny thing is I am a classicly trained Artist. Paper & Pencil. Paint & Brush. My degree says Art, Advertising & Design & it sure is what I do, just not the ways they taught me. I stay current as I can with the technologies that I have not been trained in. AI is my new buddy. Like it or not. Making a living as an Artist meant rolling with the punches and putting down the pencil and picking up a Mouse. Along the way, I became a Marketing Manager and a Logistic Manager as well. People want me to sell and ship the stuff they sell online so once again, I re-invented myself. Now I just work Part Time and am Semi-Retired. It has not been easy. I really should have been a Plumber. Us creative types are the first to get fired and the last to get hired. It matters not to me, because this is who and what I am and no matter what title they give me I will, Carry On… MM
