It has been a very sad time for me. I am always blabbing about being positive when the shit hits the fan, so here is my chance to put up or shut up. Work is great therapy and I have plenty on my to-do list to help distract me. Top of the list was getting my Motorcycle out of the Storage Unit across town and home. Not that easy. Especially since the Battery went dead and there is no Elecricity in the Unit. The Battery Pack/Jumper I bought would not fit the bike right to make things harder. So, I went & bought a Power Converter. Hooked it up to the Car and plugged in a Battery Tender. A slow charger. I went to the unit days in advance many times to slowly charge the Battery up. I wanted no issues on its maiden voyage home. There are other things to be moved out, but this is the biggie. Riding it home however meant leaving my car/truck behind across town. I felt weird asking for a ride from freinds to do this because they are so far away. A $20 Taxu ride solved that issue. The timing was never right either. The clock is ticking and I have to be out of the unit in 10 days. This deadline is also occuping my mind from the hard things I am dealing with. Anyways, the bike has been in storage for a couple of months now. I bought in Febuary and had no place to keep it. I still dont. It is going to live outside my apartment with a cover and a lock next to my Vespa. It met its first raindrop last night. I have a cover on it however. This was also the maiden voyage to test some of the modifications I have already made to it. It is a pleasure to ride. The Heal Toe Shifter is the greatest invention since sliced bread for sure. Thank you Harley Davidson for that invention from the 20’s. Wow, I cant dream of riding a Motorcycle any other way now. The lower seat seems ok so far. I took the complicated way home too, lots of lights, stop signs and real world riding. I am still a little shaky but I had the hang of it in no time once again. For its size it is heavy at 440 lbs. I have not riden a Motorcycle in about 15 years. For those that do not know, it is a brand new 2024 Royal Enfield Classic 350. I pulled a Financial miracle out of my ass to buy it Cash, so it is all mine. We all know I am a Scooterist and modern Scooters do not shift at all so it takes a bit to get used to. I had ridden it already but in a limited area and on the highway. I like it, it is the right bike for me. It is a very very sad time right now and a Motorcycle cant change that but it sure can help me to,
