Yesterday was one of the saddest days of my life. My freind and band mate Eric passed away and there was a Memorial for him. I had a hard time containing myself. My fellow Chiseler, Ajax was there and it helped a lot. We pulled it together to celebrate his life. He brought phots for all to see, photos I had not seen since they were taken. Me, Marbles Mahoney, Ajax Lepinski, Phil DeGraves, Victor Paisley & Eric aka Max Volume, seen below, were the band The Chiselers & together we rocked stages from CBGB’s & all over NYC to the Right Track Inn in Freeport. I knew him for 50 years. He was known as “Max Volume”. He also played in Corporate Waste & recorded albums with them. We were tighter than “the Clams ass”. We practiced for years before even doing our first show. Me & others are working on a Tribute show now. I am in shock and can not believe this. This will affect this little Marble quite a bit. A lot… It was great to tell Rock & Roll stories to his more recent frinds & family that had no idea what a star he really was. He never seeked the Limelight but never turned it away either. I will turn the pain into something positive. I used AI to compile the picture below. The music of The Chiselers has not been online much, but I am working on it now. So stand by for that…
I am not as strong as I used to be. I have burried almost my whole family, so I am very familar with Greif. Very. Greif has caused me to fall into YEARS long Depressions. Depressions that almost destroyed me. However as my usual posts try to promote being positive, this one is very hard to type. I live alone and while I tend to be a public person, there are not many people in it. Being alone is like being in prison, solitary confinement. I have a very limited circle of freinds and I rely on them in times of need. I love them very much. Nobody can do it alone. When my freind passed he was not alone. He was living with a lady that he cared very much for. He was not alone. He was smart. Smarter than me. A switch flipped in my head. Dont be alone. Being alone is terrible, being alone in a room full of people is even worse. If any of us can learn anything from the life of my great freind Eric, is that you should not be alone and even if you are, Carry On… MM

Chisel Or Be Chiseled. RIP Eric Hessev aka Max Volume.
